Biography

Nicolas Côté is an athlete driven by passion and determination. Before making a name for himself in the world of cycling, he competed on the ice as a hockey player, a sport that instilled discipline, rigor, and a strong competitive mindset. These qualities are now central to his athletic identity.

Background

In 2025, following his studies in Mechanical Engineering at the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) in Montréal, Nicolas’s path took a defining turn. Discovering cycling proved to be a true revelation. He traded his skates for pedals and fully committed to this new discipline. He quickly stood out on the cycling scene through strong performances, showing remarkable adaptability and rapid progression.

Nicolas has a deep passion for cycling in all its forms. He excels across multiple disciplines, including fixed gear, gravel, road cycling, and criteriums. This versatility reflects his drive for self-improvement, his appetite for diverse challenges, and his constant desire to explore new aspects of the sport.

Career Highlights

– 25th place at the Sibiu Cycling Tour (2.1), a prestigious race that tests both endurance and strategy.

– 4th place at the Rhodes Grand Prix International (1.2), earning 20 UCI points, a performance that highlights his competitiveness on the international stage.

– Winner of the Mardis Cyclistes de Lachine, a highly regarded criterium series in Montréal, Québec, where his speed and race tactics stood out.

– He also made a strong impression during a training camp by completing an impressive personal challenge: 1,200 km with 22,000 m of elevation gain in just 7 days, a clear demonstration of his endurance and determination.
