Arianne Chiasson

Bobsleigh Athlete

Biography

Arianna Chiasson is a multidisciplinary athlete and coach whose journey is defined by resilience, versatility, and self-improvement. From a young age, sport has played a central role in her life through gymnastics, soccer, cheerleading, and strength and conditioning. Her path has shaped her discipline, adaptability, and passion for performance, both as an athlete and as a coach. Today, as a sports massage therapist and strength coach, she combines her knowledge of movement, performance, and rehabilitation to help athletes and active individuals reach their goals.

Background

Arianna began competitive gymnastics at a young age before playing competitive soccer for more than 15 years, reaching the collegiate Division 1 level. She also competed in school cheerleading from ages 12 to 17, participating in international-level competitions. Over the years, she explored several other disciplines, including flag football, judo, softball, CrossFit, and Olympic weightlifting, further fueling her passion for athletic performance.

Her journey was also marked by several major injuries and four surgeries over six years, involving her ankle and both knees. Following multiple concussions, she made the difficult decision to step away from sports from 2020 to 2025 in order to prioritize her health. Her return in October 2025 was remarkable: she was recruited to Team Canada Bobsleigh as a brakeman and quickly found success on the international circuit.

Alongside her athletic career, Arianna has also built an impressive coaching background. She became the first woman in Québec to coach football at both the university level with the Université de Sherbrooke and the collegiate level with the Noir et Or de Valleyfield. She also coached flag football at Collège Bourget and Noir et Or.
