Biography
Éric Leiva Ramirez discovered snowboarding at the age of 19, a moment that marked a true turning point in his life. From his very first runs, the sport became a deep passion and a daily driving force. Guided by a constant desire to improve, Éric embraces a clear mindset: to be better than yesterday and not as good as tomorrow. This pursuit of progress shapes both his approach to snowboarding and his personal vision of pushing beyond limits. Creative and driven, he also enjoys capturing his world through photography and video, especially in urban snowboarding, where he blends technique, style, and visual storytelling.
Background
At 21, Éric made a defining decision by moving first to Whistler, then to Colorado, to train in environments that foster performance and technical growth. To maximize his development, he adopted a double-season lifestyle, taking advantage of opposite winters. During the summer, he leaves Montréal to join his family in Chile, where he continues training throughout the Southern Hemisphere winter.
At 25, he began competing at the provincial level, earned his first sponsors, and later took part in regional competitions in Chile. He was also a rider for the Saint-Sauveur park team, a key milestone in his journey. With the support of his partners, Éric traveled across the western United States to keep learning, push his limits, and refine his style.
