Biography
Mathieu Beaudoin is an exceptional young athlete competing in Olympic weightlifting in the men’s 65kg category (M65). Drawn to the precision and the extremely high demands of the sport, he stands out for his flawless work ethic and his constant drive to surpass himself. Always striving for excellence, Mathieu demonstrates an impressive ability to push his physical and mental boundaries in every training session, making him one of the most promising athletes in his discipline.
Background
Mathieu’s athletic journey began in September 2021, at the age of 14, in the world of CrossFit. After a brilliant career in the “teens” division, ranking among the best in Canada and worldwide, he discovered weightlifting in November 2025. He quickly fell in love with the sport and decided to specialize in it to maximize his potential. In the span of just eight months, his progress was phenomenal: between November 2025 and June 2026, he went from a 92 kg to a 103 kg snatch (+11 kg), and from a 112 kg to a 128 kg clean and jerk (+16 kg).
