Yoan de la Chevrotiere
Massage therapist
« With great power comes great responsibility. » Spider-Man / Uncle Ben
His superpowers
Having practiced many sports since childhood, Yoan has an excellent understanding of the physical demands related to athletic activities. This massage therapist stands out for his ability to simplify and clearly explain complex concepts to his athletes and patients. Furthermore, our therapist is a great listener, which allows him to adapt perfectly to the specific needs and context of each individual.
His passions
Outside of the clinic, Yoan is deeply passionate about movies and television series. This massage therapist also takes advantage of his free time to escape through travel, camping, and long road trips.
His approach
Our therapist views massage therapy through a holistic lens, where the body is considered as a whole rather than just an isolated problem area. When faced with an injury, Yoan takes a step back to understand the root causes. His goal is to treat the true source of the problem, not just relieve the symptoms. His studies in athletic therapy allow this massage therapist to have a comprehensive understanding of injury mechanisms and to precisely tailor each treatment to the patient’s needs.
His background
Currently an Athletic Therapy student at Concordia University (expected to graduate in the spring of 2027), Yoan has already built a solid foundation of practical experience. His background includes a field internship at Vanier College with the rugby and volleyball teams, as well as a clinical internship at UQAM with athletes from various disciplines. For the 2026-2027 academic year, our therapist is actively involved both on the field and in the clinic with the Concordia Stingers men’s team. Already certified in Swedish massage, this massage therapist will complete his sports massage certification by July 2026.
