Bouldering Athlete

BIO

Sabrina Thayer-Head has been competing in climbing for the past three years. Since 2020, she has been part of Bloc Shop’s Pro Team and also works as a routesetter with their team. She enjoys working on her physical strength and climbing skills, but also puts a lot of focus on optimizing her mindset and adaptability.

In 2021, following the pandemic, she turned to outdoor climbing. She successfully completed two V9s (True Love and False Idols and L’insoutenable légèreté de l’être) and one V8 (Too Far Gone) in the Laurentians (climbers will know what that means!).

As an athlete, her biggest strengths are her motivation, focus, and balanced abilities across all climbing styles. She’s the kind of person you’ll find training at the gym at 6 a.m.—and you might see her there again later that evening. Sabrina is always thinking about how to improve. That’s why she values structured support: it helps her push her limits without getting injured or falling into the trap of overtraining.

She dislocated her elbow in 2020 and came back stronger than ever. With the help of Nxt Generation PHYSIO, she’s now working on refining her climbing technique and strengthening the muscles most used in climbing. Let’s see what the future holds!

“I can now address certain movements that don’t feel smooth or more subtle difficulties in my day-to-day, which I often overlook to focus on performance. By correcting my posture during different exercises, I’ll be able to avoid building bad habits and prevent long-term injuries.”
