Samuel
Bureau
Speed skating athlete
Bio
Born in 2004, Samuel Bureau grew up in the Côte-Saint-Paul neighborhood of Montréal. He discovered short track speed skating at the age of 7 at the Gadbois recreation complex. Very quickly, this passion became central to his life.
Thirteen years later, he continues to pursue his dream at the Canadian National Short Track Training Center (CNCP), where he is starting his 4th year with the National A Team. He trains alongside the best athletes and coaches in the country, with a clear goal: representing Canada at the 2030 Olympic Games. His training schedule is intense—six days a week at the Maurice-Richard Arena, eleven months a year.
At the same time, Samuel is studying social sciences at Cégep de Maisonneuve. After his skating career, he hopes to pursue another calling: becoming a firefighter.
With Nxt G Physio, he wants to keep his body healthy, perform at the highest level, and optimize his recovery to stay ready for competitions, transition phases, and rest periods.
