Biography

Born on November 9, 1992, in Repentigny, Quebec, Sébastien Toutant ; better known as Seb Toots ; is one of the most respected and influential snowboarders of his generation. Known for his smooth style, creativity, and contagious energy, he has made his mark on the history of snowboarding both in competition and through his groundbreaking video projects.

Career path

Seb discovered snowboarding at the age of nine, after breaking his skis and borrowing his brother’s board. He quickly showed a natural talent for riding, and by the age of 13, he won the Empire Shakedown, one of Quebec’s biggest snowboarding competitions, a victory that launched him onto the international scene. Over the years, he has established himself as one of the world’s top snowboarders.

 

Career Highlights

In 2011, Seb won gold in slopestyle at the Winter X Games in Aspen, becoming one of the youngest riders to ever take the title. But it was in 2018, at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, that he made history by claiming the first-ever Olympic gold medal in snowboard Big Air, a newly introduced discipline at the Games.

Beyond competition, Seb stands out for his artistic approach to snowboarding. Passionate about filming and creative projects, he loves producing video segments that capture the essence of freestyle, the beauty of urban spots, and the spirit of adventure. Always smiling, humble, and driven, he continues to inspire a new generation of riders to push their limits while keeping joy at the heart of their sport.
