AUDREY-ANNE
CORMIER

“Talent is a gift, but success comes only with hard work.” — Jean Béliveau

HER SUPERPOWERS

Gifted with remarkable athletic versatility, she excels in multiple disciplines without limiting herself to just one. Her deep commitment to patient education and her communication-focused approach distinguish her in the field of physiotherapy. She also possesses a unique talent for tailoring treatments to individual needs while guiding her patients toward autonomy.

HER PASSIONS

She has an unconditional love for movement. Since the age of 7, golf has been a part of her life, while basketball marked her competitive journey during high school. Volleyball, which she has played for over 10 years, is another of her great passions. When she is not running or playing tennis, she enjoys hitting the slopes on a snowboard or skis, surrounded by friends and family. To recharge, nothing works better for her than cooking a good meal or getting lost in a captivating book.

HER APPROACH

For her, the key to a successful treatment lies in open communication and proper education. She ensures that each patient fully understands what is happening so that they can effectively collaborate on their treatment plan. Her ultimate goal is to empower her patients, guiding them with empathy and expertise toward achieving their personal goals.

BIOGRAPHY

She completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Montreal, where she had the opportunity to observe in a rehabilitation center. This experience, marked by her collaboration with physiotherapists specializing in pain management, led her to pursue studies in physiotherapy. She obtained both a Bachelor’s and a professional Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, also from the University of Montreal.

Her professional journey has led her to work in both the private and public sectors, treating a diverse clientele ranging from post-operative patients to athletes, as well as those suffering from vestibular disorders or deconditioning. Her involvement during the Covid-19 crisis, including participating in vaccination efforts, demonstrates her dedication to serving the community.

In parallel with her clinical practice, she has been involved in clinical research with renowned institutions such as the Research Center of Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital and the Interdisciplinary Research Center in Rehabilitation and Social Integration of Quebec. She has contributed to several projects, including the management of shoulder pain, telehealth, and patient education, a field she is particularly passionate about and which has motivated her to pursue graduate studies starting in the fall of 2024.

Since completing her studies, she has enhanced her skills by attending numerous continuing education courses, delivered by recognized trainers in Quebec, further strengthening her expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and related fields.
