Bio
Maxime Chalifour is a professional BMX Freestyle athlete from Quebec. He discovered BMX at the age of 12, and the sport quickly became both a passion and a career. Now 25, Maxime ranks among the world’s elite and proudly represents Canada on the international stage.
After spending two years touring with Cirque du Soleil as a BMX performer, Maxime refocused on competition in 2020. He joined the Canadian national team and began competing on the UCI circuit, with the goal of qualifying for the Olympic Games.
Alongside his athletic career, Maxime is also a co-owner of a BMX stunt show company that has been active in Quebec for nearly four years. He combines high-level sport with entrepreneurship, playing an active role in growing his sport.
A travel enthusiast, Maxime trains and competes across the globe, always looking for the next big challenge and world-class facilities. Outside of BMX, he spends time in the gym to complement his technical work on the bike.

Now an athlete, entrepreneur, and performance-driven individual, Maxime is determined to push his limits on the international scene. In 2025, he plans to compete at major events including the World Championships in Riyadh and the UCI World Cup in Japan. His focus: keep improving, learn new tricks, and move closer to Olympic qualification.
