Maxime Potvin
Acupuncteur
“The goal is not to fight symptoms, but to restore movement.”
His superpowers
With an open mind and deep respect for those he works with, he creates a space for authentic, non-judgmental listening. His calm and attentive presence helps build the trust that is essential to any healing process.
His passions
He enjoys skiing, hockey, and tennis, and has always been drawn to movement in all its forms. As a composer of electronic music and a dance enthusiast, he also expresses himself through art. For over ten years, he has maintained a daily practice of Qi Gong, yoga, and meditation—foundational tools that nourish both his personal life and therapeutic approach.
His approach
He sees himself as a guide in the healing journey, helping people better understand themselves, reconnect with their bodies, and find lasting balance. His approach combines clinical precision with sensitivity, taking into account the connections between physical tension, emotional states, and a person’s environment.
His background
A graduate in acupuncture from Collège de Rosemont, he transitioned to healthcare after a career in sound design and electroacoustic music composition. This shift came from a personal journey marked by chronic pain and a pursuit of well-being, which led him to explore posture, breathing, movement, and body awareness in depth.
An athlete at heart, he played competitive soccer (3A) and was a collegiate champion at the Quebec Cup. Today, he brings a multidisciplinary background to his acupuncture practice—blending traditional knowledge, body awareness, and collaborative care. He has a particular interest in musculoskeletal issues, fatigue, digestive imbalances, and anxiety.
