Xavier Fagard

Obstacle course racing and functional training athlete

Biography

A sports enthusiast since early childhood, Xavier Fafard explored a multitude of disciplines ; from judo to handball ; before going through a period of sedentary lifestyle during his higher education. It was only at the end of his academic journey that he initiated a life-changing shift for his health, losing over 30 lbs in three months through rediscovered discipline. This physical renewal, supported by a circle of experts in nutrition and training, acted as a true catalyst. Today, Xavier no longer moves just for his health; he has transformed that necessity into a quest for pure performance, where the balance between strength and endurance is at the heart of his lifestyle.

Background

The real turning point came with the discovery of Obstacle Course Racing (OCR), a discipline that awakened a competitive spirit within him that had previously been dormant. Upon arriving in Canada in 2018, he structured his practice with the help of a coach to reach the top of the Spartan and Hyrox circuits. Beyond being an athlete, Xavier is a certified educator (YMCA, BIA Formations) who shares his expertise by coaching run clubs in Ville-Émard, leading Hyrox classes at CrossFit 514, and through his past experience as an elite Ninja Warrior coach. His vision is built on a scientific approach to hybrid cardio training and sports nutrition.
