Physiothérapeute en pédiatrie

“What matters to you, carries you, what matters to you, carries you.” – David Goudreault

Her Superpowers

Sensitive by nature, Josie is very empathetic and knows how to put herself in her patients’ shoes to better understand them. This is very helpful with her younger clients. She is also an optimist at heart and is creative in finding ways to achieve her goals and those of her patients. She is persistent and encourages everyone in her care to be the best version of themselves.

Her passions

Josie is a bundle of energy and this is reflected in all aspects of her life! She loves to move and play sports, especially triathlon, yoga and tennis. She is also a fan of Quebec literature and never misses an opportunity to relax by reading a good book. Her greatest passion is her dog, whom she affectionately calls Monsieur Hubert.

Her approach

Josie knows that in order to get results, you have to go slowly and at your patients’ pace. Her motto is “One goal and one success at a time”. She establishes a treatment plan based not only on her skills and knowledge, but also on her patients’ goals and means.

Background

After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy from the University of Montreal in 2006, Josie furthered her knowledge by obtaining a certificate in international health from the Université of Sherbrooke in 2007. This allowed her to participate in several humanitarian trips where she was able to make a difference in communities on the ground, including Burkina Faso, Senegal and the Philippines. In addition to working at the Centre Montérégien de réadaptation between 2006 and 2009, she has also been working with youth at the CHU Ste-Justine for 15 years. Josie is very resourceful and the numerous trainings she has taken have greatly contributed to her skills in physiotherapy. In particular, her training on torticollis and plagiocephaly as well as her training on infant neurodevelopment, which she uses every day in her work.
