Thaninna
Hamadou

Physiotherapist

“Don’t count the days; Make the days count.” – Muhammad Ali

Her superpowers

Thaninna’s boundless curiosity always leads her to analyze situations from all angles. Among other things, her previous experiences in the field of scientific research have always pushed her to develop a critical and rational sense of analysis in order to understand the various biological phenomena. At the same time, in physiotherapy, she has developed an interest in the analysis of movement and the understanding of biomechanics which are at the heart of her approach.

Her passions

Thaninna enjoys spending time in nature, in the forest, in the mountains, camping, hiking, but especially canoeing! Exploring the four corners of the world has always been a dream for her, and over the years, the ambition of discovery has gradually turned into a real passion.

When she’s not watching a Doctor Who show for the hundredth time, this combat sports fan follows the events of the ONE Championship.

His approach

By listening to her patients, Thannina finds it important to understand their individual needs and goals in order to plan a treatment plan that is tailored to each person’s unique condition.

Education is considered paramount, and it is fundamental to Thaninna that patients understand everything about their rehabilitation process. Her therapeutic approach then focuses on using manual therapy techniques combined with an exercise program adapted to the patient’s sport or personal activities.

Background

Thaninna has a diverse clinical background, first practicing as a clinical nurse. After a few years of professional experience, she reoriented herself towards physiotherapy in order to develop an expertise in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and manual therapy.

She completed her Master’s degree in Physiotherapy at McGill University and took the opportunity to get involved in covering sports events, notably with the McGill University Women’s Hockey Team and in sports performance camps with Hockey Nova Scotia.
